This is a different story that seems a little strange at first, but it tells the story of accepting differences in the family.

The sweet and gently portrayed illustrations shows the child who is anxious about a special day coming up at school for parents and carers. She doesn't want to feel uncomfortable amongst her peers at school, so

She tells the story about her mother who is a bird, not a human, How will her school friends, peers and other parents react when they see her protective mum / bird?

Join the story to see how mum and child cope with everyday tasks such as preparing breakfast and going to school, When they reach the school everyone stares at mum, they. can't quite believe what they see and start asking questions.

It appears that this book seeks to explain that while not everyone fits the mould, it doesn't mean they shouldn't get on well together and have a loving relationship.
