Nowadays we are finding more change in families whether that be ages, blended families with stepchildren,  same sex parents, separated families, divorced and more.

It can be confusing for younger children as their lives become disrupted by these changes. In this hardcover picture book the author guides younger children through the different types of families they may encounter, at preschool or in social and other settings.

As some family structures change it can be confusing and in this gentle story attempts to reassure young children through the happier and unsettling times. It explores life in single parent families, families that become bigger or even smaller and through various situations.

These changes can be quite difficult for all involved and even more turbulent for younger children as they have to deal with the different dynamics and through Some Families Change the author empathetically explains these situations and that it can take time for younger children to adjust and feel more comfortable with their new found situation that is different from their friends and other families around them.
