Henry Hamlet's Heart

by Rhiannon WIlde
Published by University of Queensland Press (UQP)
ISBN 9780702263149

A YA (young adult) story about friends, family relationships, working out what path life will take or what Henry's path will take.

On the opening pages Henry is working out and trying to explain to his younger brother if he's gay or bi-sexual as his gran says.

His family are all sitting at a local cafe having a family brunch not so harmoniously, when Len turns up and saves Henry.

Henry and Len have been friends, forever it seems and one wonders and realises that opposites attract, We get the gist that Henry is a mess, a neurotic mess and yet his best friend Len is quite the opposite, a bit of heart-throb .

Set in Brisbane and in the last term or semester of Year 12, Henry Hamlet isn't quite sure what he wants to do when school ends soon. His father didn't like school so whenever he receives any awards, even if it's for participation, his dad is thrilled.

A passionate story of growing up, letting go, and learning how to love.
