The question now is, is the Mona Lisa Friday sees at the Louvre a real one or a fake one? Set in December in Paris as Friday says it's pretty nippy during the day, but once the sunsets is is cold and she has to sneak out in the dead of night to meet an art expert on a fake date night. She will do whatever it takes in her search, following clues in the search for the Mona Lisa.

She tries the impossible, she's got to get the director to remove the glass so they can inspect the paintwork and brushstrokes. No easy ask, it was placed behind glass in 1956 to protect it, will Friday's persuasive ways win?  Will she find the real painting and solve the crime?

This a pleasurable and page turning, gripping reading for middle years, as are all the books in rhe Friday Barnes series.
