Ratbags - Dummy Spit

By Tim Harris

Illustrated by Shiloh Gordon

Published by Puffin Books (Penguin Random House Australia)

ISBN  9781761346088

Dummy Spit is the fifth in the popular fun, silly life of the Ratbags. The story begins as Jigsaw is baking muffins and guess what, there is a talking muffin!

The muffin mayhem begins and then we meet Blitz and oh boy, things get rather crazy... and so do hairy heists.

The illustrations capture the crazy, antic filled story to a T, ideal for encouraging younger readers as they follow along in this page turner. The teasers with the, "you will have to turn the page to get the answers" are terrific hooks to keep readers engaged, although we're pretty sure you will hear a lot of laughter as they read what the other ill behaved rats get up to that annoy our well behaved Jigsaw.

The crux of the matter will Jigsaw and his friends find the missing parents in time or have to deal with the dreaded dummy spit? And what will happen at the Naughty Awards?

In summary a good fun page turner with black and white illustrations to match
