First reaction, wow, what a fantastic book. Eddie Woo is a master of explaining things step-by-step and in a way that is easy to understand.
In his latest book he shows how everything in our every day lives is part of STEM - science, technology, engineering and maths.
Things we don't realise and take for granted are all related and interconnected and why it is important to learn and understand STEM.

Eddie Woo encourages the reader to use this book as a workbook, in other words, write in it, make notes, design things like fonts, planes - all with pages explaining in simple terms how these things work.
He explains that STEM is everywhere. It is in our natural world, our environment, it solves problems and part of ideas and creativity, the universe - and he incudes some very interesting facts about this.
There are numerous activities for readers to do, to learn how to create, to develop their thinking, several quizzes, with answers included at the end of the book with instructions not to peek before trying to come up with the answers.
Some pages have tips and useful hints and surprisingly curious titbits. This really is a fabulous book to encourage thought and stimulate different ways of thinking about StEM in a fun-filled knowledge imparting activity book for ages from 7 to early even mid-teens.
All the information is clearly illustrated in good clean lines that evoke fun and help enhance this engaging read and activity book.
