This first graphic novel by Anh Do is a terrific work of fun, a little mayhem and good reading for for ages 6 - 10 years while Jeremy Ley's drawings are bright, colourful with a look of exuberance as the characters are brought to life.
Kai, Harry and Charley who are all Kung Fu experts are on a train together going to their Kung Fu tournament. When listening to the train driver's destination announcements they are surprised to hear the name of the next station. It sounds strange. They are sure they have never heard of that one before.
Suddenly they hear a different voice, the train has been taken over by someone or is it something else. It seems there are robbers on the train and I had to laugh as one of the friends asks them what do you expect to find? Gold plated lunch boxes from kids?
They feel a big bump, their train has been hit by.a.meteor. They soon discover their new found powers, they can transform into animals which is just as well as they try to overcome the mean Crocka Gang..
Each section over the double pages are easy to read and sure to drawn in young readers, turning the pages quickly.in this action packed whacky and funny.
