Although this book is essentially a story for  children from five years and over, but it was also interesting reading it as an adult.


The story is about the development of a young, little penguin and the stages they go through  to becoming an adult.


Every page is beautifully illustrated with accompanying heartwarming story lines of how the littlest penguins living in their burrows and are protected by their parents as young and their changes through different stages of their young lives.

The Littlest Penguin was created in a partnership with the Penguin Foundation based on the incredible events behind Philip Island's Penguin Parade. Also included is a section wth fascinating information about these wonderful little birds, such as how long they live, how long they can stay in the ocean, what they eat and fun facts. Some of this is sure to be a surprise to you.


Plus there's a small section about the Penguin Foundation and what they do to protect the little penguins on Philip Island.
