Perry and his family are on holiday in the South of France and looking forward to going to the Festival Une Journée Romaine. His mum made a costume for Perry which he'd really isn't keen on, he'd much prefer to wear a Roman soldier's uniform, but as he says and apparently it's his mum's stock phrase, this is authentic.

While he's enjoying the day much to his surprise he is transported back 1700 years into the Roman era. He discovers how vastly different life was as he has to blend in. .

He soon makes a new friend but then when he wants to go home he has to make a difficult decision. Very well written and an easy story to read that feeds the imagination, The Boy Who Stepped Through Time is sure to delight readers, we think its a real page turner!

Six months ago Clem and her family moved back into their new home after rebuilding when their old house burned down, but somehow it just doesn't feel like home, even though Clem appreciates how much her parents have done to make it homely. It is just not like the nice comfortable old one she's always known.

The girls are planning on going off to camp and they have to shop for the adventure, rather than wait for them to decide on the choices of each food item they're taking, Clem says well take both. Seems the sensible thing to do!

This an age when things can become topsy turvy and this easy to read and charming story deals with the things that matter at this age such as finding the way to fit in. It deals with the delicate balance of being thirteen, growing up but not yet grown up, reliance on parents, the changes within and growing as a young person and working out what and where you want to be.
