The school's History Department has secured top state HSC Rankings in seven out of the last ten years, with its continued success attributed to a seasoned team of educators who are committed to refining their teaching methodologies and pedagogical approaches. To honour her academic achievement, Stephens attended a First in Course ceremony in Western Sydney on 13 December during which Deputy Premier and Education Minister Prue Car congratulated all students who achieved a First in Course mark.

Commenting on the exceptional achievements of History students, Peta Holmes, Head of History at Loreto Normanhurst, said: “We are incredibly proud of the results our History students have achieved in this year’s HSC. Their dedication and passion for the subject are evident in these top results and it has been an exceptional honour to work with an expert team of History teachers to assist in preparing them for the exams.”

Loreto Normanhurst ranked above state average in 38 out of the 40 subjects offered. The school ranked 47th overall in NSW, with the impressive results a testament to school’s award-winning Loreto Normanhurst Student Growth Model (LNSGM).

The LNSGM emphasises student collaboration, creative and critical thinking, digital capabilities, adaptability, and independence through a diverse array of learning experiences inside and outside the classroom. The Model is integral in shaping graduates who are agile and resilient thinkers who are prepared to navigate an ever-changing global landscape.

Top ATAR student who achieved a 99.95, Elli Barron, said, "what I valued most about my HSC study at Loreto Normanhurst was that it wasn’t focused purely on academics, which I believe was vital to keeping a healthy focus on my studies. We were presented with so many opportunities and I was encouraged to participate in sport and music and debating, which saw me take up touch footy, water polo, netball, soccer, and cross country.T

I was fortunate to receive a well-rounded education in my school years. At Loreto Normanhurst, it is like being welcomed into a large family through sporting house groups or tutor groups, there is always support within the whole community. I look forward to continuing my studies in Engineering after a gap year in the UK.

Elyse Stephens said, "studying in my cohort was very special, and something that helped me prepare to sit for my HSC. I appreciate the family we were, and we were not only moving through the school years together on assignments, preparing for exams and working towards a goal together, but we supported one another along the way.

The teaching at Loreto Normanhurst was of such a high standard, it helped me achieve the results I did and now I hope to study a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies at UNSW.

Another outstanding HSC student, Elisabeth, commented, "Loreto Normanhurst provided me with extra support, and I felt more motivation, enjoyment, and engagement in my studies, helping me achieve the HSC results I did. It wasn’t only the teachers; my peers I studied with were supportive too, like family.I am grateful for the extra support at Loreto Normanhurst and can follow my dream through a Scholarship in Primary Teaching at ACU."
