Up to age 5.

You probably have read or heard about Turia Pitt, the super resilient ultra marathon runner who survived and recovered from multiple burns snd is now a speaker and children's book author.

In Koko and the Coconut, children will learn a number of things. Where the  coconut crabs come from, how they grow to adulthood and how they have to go from swimming in the sea to climbing tall coconut trees to get their coconuts.

They will find out how having others encouragement  helps to reach the coconut as Koko wonders how he will climb a tall coconut tree, how coconut crabs do this and how once they've reached the long journey to the top of the tree they need to cut the stems and harvest their coconut.

It doesn't end here, once the coconut hits the beach, Koko has to climb all the way down the coconut tree trunk and deal with theis fear. Help and encouragement from Koko's friends makes all the difference. Then Koko has the big job - the coconut's outer shell has to be cracked before he can get to the juicy coconut.

This is a sweet tale for young children to explain resilience, determination and the difference encouragement makes, while also showing where the crabs from from and what they do.
