The ever popular Alice-Miranda is back for the fun and games, celebrating an early Christmas with her closest friends and, a mystery,

A Christmas mystery,

The story begins with a not uncommon estranged family relationship and continues onto the last days of Alice-Miranda and her friends, especially Britt, who everyone considered was her Nordic twin's last day at boarding school before the Christmas holidays.

The school has a magical tree that makes the girls gasp with delight/ Britt wishes she could stay longer than her arranged exchange, or preferably permanently

In the sequel to this extraordinarily popular series, something is happening, strange things. as the Christmas decorations are suddenly missing. Alice-Miranda wants to find out why and how this happened.

Added to this, the school cook accidentally drops the turkey she's been making but says there will be enough for all the girls provided no one is too hungry. They decide to go out to the local shops to buy replacement decorations,  but no one knows what's going on because suddenly there aren't any or Christmas treats which they were hoping to add to this special dinner?.

One adventure leads to another in this inimitable and much loved style of story telling,  with a cast of characters involved that involve many twists and turns ideal for this age group. The big question is will Alice-Miranda sole the mystery before it's too late. Alice-Miranda and the Christmas Mystery is a 412+ page  gripping read as curiosity builds along the way of solving the mystery. Just as well there is a list of the cast of characters to keep everyone on track

This is intriguing reading dealing with friendships and different personalities, it would be an ideal presents for the holiday season for ages 8 - 14 years - ish.
