This is an interesting and powerful story with few words, addressing fear and the unknown for younger children.
When neither Knight nor Viking whose image is portrayed as the popular mythical figure, do not trust one another they decide they have to do something about it. But rather than get together and talk about their differences and preferences, they choose to be in an unhealthy an destructive competition with one another.
This story shows that this is not a positive decision as when talking with their friend they decide the only way that either side can be safe is to build a wall.
Each side says that they their wall is bigger, betters, taller than the others. They think this is far better than recognising it would be a much better idea if both sides spoke to one another and worked together.
Inevitably both walls are built with. gap inbetween and both walls fail.So what can they do?
Illustrated in peaceful pastel colours this is a thought proving story for young children and whoever reads the story with or to them.
