In this junior fiction, Felix is terrified of going into the shower, in fact after his older brother begs their dad to smell him, because he is really smelly, super smelly they find out he hasn't had a shower in thirteen days!
Why you might wonder doesn't he shower, he is worried because last time he hand a shower it took him to a far off land and he doesn't want that to happen again.
But, once dad eventually smells him and sees the dirt growing under his nails he ha no choice - it's shower, now...
That is when the adventure begins.
Felix has to shower, dad said he would watch him wash every centimetre of his body, but then something weird happens when he turns on the water. Felix finds himself transported to a snowy mountain and he is knee deep in show and all he is wearing are his speedos that he had refused to take off to go into the shower.
This is a hilariously funny story, very well written and ideal for appealing to the 7 - 10 year old age group. Felix meets 8 year old Torkal and his mum who he says has arms with muscles growing on her muscles. They are out one day when they come across a yeti and Torkal calls him Fearlax - which he doesn't like at all. The wild adventure continues until dad asks Felix how he is going in the shower and he realises he has to peel off all the protective clothes he is wearing...
Once he has showered, including washing behind his ears, dad is there to welcome his clean son wrapping him in a nice fluffy towel, like a sausage roll. All ends well with dad saying that daily morning showers are non-negotiable and off they go to enjoy the the rest of the day.
This happy imaginative story is sure to be a great hit.
