As a graphic novel you can see and feel the action, the tension, the nerves, training and most of al the big races. It's like reading a series of stills in a movie except that you don't have to press stop or pause.

More than comic strips, in Hover Car Racer you can feel the interplay between the text and the black and white images and most of these images are highly expressive.

For those who are reluctant to read a book this might be the ideal introduction or re-introduction to nooks though a highly charged story as the reader wants to know what actually happens to Jason Chaser and if he overcomes the challenges at the School and can get past the person who doesn't want him to succeed.
