Christmas Lights is a cheerful and colourful book with explaining the festive season and the sparkling lights to younger readers, typically for ages 3-5.
Emma Memma infuses the book with her bright and bubbly personality as she and Elvin Melvin get ready to sing a few songs. The words are included for kids to sing along.
As they turn the pages with the equally cheerful illustrations, there are quite a few things for readers to look for and point to on the pages so they become more engaged with the story.
Taking young readers on a tour of the sparkling lights and the decorations in town when the sun goes to sleep, maybe you can find Emma Memma or perhaps the butterfly tree and all the decorative shapes. It is pleasing to see its not only about what's in the town, as the story heads out to the countryside with Waffle Wombat who shows what he can see.
This s a cheery festive book for the season, a good one as a stocking filler.
