Fantasy, magic and adventures, all comes together in this intriguing story for 7 to 11 year olds.
As Titch begins with going to the Heart of Alluria with the Heartstone to mend the world, readers will be swept up in this fun story and widen the imagination.
The black an white illustrations plus the highlighting of some words in various fonts create further impact and emphasising various aspects.
This story is crafted with magic making it a pleasure to read as the fun adventures of Titch and Huckleberry as they whisk you away. It is interesting to see how the friendships develop and what they mean until the last pages of this epic quest.
Just imagine there is a village of brainwashed squirrels and what can happen here.
And there's Titch whose tummy is rumbling and thinking of food, brambleberry (we call them blackberries) pies with whipped cream, roasted parsnips with honey, but is this the time to be thinking of these things when there are other more pressing things to be getting on with? Readers will be turning those pages to find out what's happening as this creatively, well written story develops following their hearts rather than their heads they have to be careful of that dreaded swamp monster.
Maybe their hearts aren't to be trusted? Something to think about, readers will have to deduce if if Titch is just an ordinary little mouse and not Bravepaw after all, readers as they continue reading to see if Bravepaw can fulfil the quest and save Alluria after all.
