This story is about mindfulness and shows that if you slow down a little, just a little and take the time to talk to your friends and see what they're seeing like the beautiful rivers, tadpoles, playing with others you will learn all sorts of things and discover new friendships.

The author Vickki Conley began writing children's books as a child with her handcrafted books. During 10 years working for World Vision, Vikki interviewed many families and children who shared extraordinary stories.

Illustrator Penelope Partley has been painting since she was a small girl. She has a Bachelor of Fine Art and a Bachelor of Teaching and has taught art from preschool to high school. She now works from her home studio as an illustrator, tutoring aspiring artists, and producing and selling her work under the business name Penelope’s Nest.
