This little book of 124 pages has all the ingredients for a good short read, plus a first chapter from another one the books by the same author..

Ashley Smith is an American who is studying in London and facing Christmas alone and not feeling too bad about the prospect of some free time.

Unexpectedly she is invited by a classmate, Emma to her family home in the Cotswolds for Christmas holidays.

On arrival she finds this is rather grand family home, far more than she expected it would be.

As soon as she arrives, she feels there is something mysterious about this grand family home and must get to the bottom of this niggly feeling.

Ashley soon finds out there is a lot more going on over the holidays. Writing in her diary, Ashley describes her friend Emma Chapman and her reaction to the invitation to spend the Christmas holidays with the Chapman family.

Written as diary entries with a day-by-day account of Ashley's thoughts and feelings, this is enjoyable easy reading with a bit of fun and mystery plus the prospect of romance once Ashley and Adam meet. Adam is her friend's twin brother.and she wonders what Emma will make of this idea.

This page turner would make a good gift for the holiday period, especially for readers who want a good sharp, get to the point story with an interesting twist that you don't see coming.
