Lewis and his mum are going home from a day out  the noisy, bustling city and looking forward to getting home.

All of a sudden the passengers hear a funny noise.

Uh-oh, the bus has a flat tyre and all the passengers must alight from the bus.

After all that city noise and now the disappointment, tired young Lewis notices the peace and calm of the countryside on their usual route home. Perhaps this is his first time stopping here. He wanders off a short way, under the watchful eye of his mother and soon discover the sounds and smells of his surroundings.

Lewis soon learns that the air smells fresh and become acutely aware of the sounds of nature as he hears little creatures busy all around him. Perhaps the bus having a flat tyre isn't so bad after all.

Before long he hears the "all aboard" call as a different bus has arrived to continue the journey home.

This is a sweet tale, aptly supported by the illustrations which could make young children more aware and appreciate nature around them.

Soweol Han was winner of the CBCA Award for New Illustrator following release of her first book Tiny Wonders.
