If you are looking for a good light feel-good book, Love Clancy is the one. It is a fun read from the perspective of a smart, adorable, perceptive and kind dog.

Clancy gives an insight as to what dogs think of us humans and how perceptive they are at reading our moods and feelings.

Centred around the story of a JayB, Clancy's best friend who it seems is softie when it comes to relationship[s with people, Clancy loves "his person" as he refers to him.

Clancy is a bit unusual, he keeps a diary, he lives with his best friend and his nemesis. Not  so unusual for humans, but Clancy is an adorable golden labrador.

Clancy also loves going to the dog park, making his scent mark and Phoebe, the dog whose human is the beautiful Dominique that JayB likes too.

Clancy loves treats, well I don't know a dog that doesn't, so when his neighbour Odin's human, the elderly lady Helen,  asks JayB to take him for a walk, Clancy is mystified as to why Odin gets would have been his chicken treats for merely laying down on his tummy It's all part of a plan - training Odin to do things that Clancy already knows. The two become firm friends a they do with Millie, Tillie and Phoebe, but not the wrinkly one Spartan who belongs to JayB's so-called best friend.

This is a pleasure to read and a well crafted story with a few twists and turns, showing the relationships between humans,  there plenty of interesting situations with JayB's family and friends and between petsl

As someone who has loved all her pets but particularly misses her last darling dog, this is relatable story that frequently made me smile.
