Although this series is for children and teens it is informative reading about the up and coming racing drivers and their rise to becoming champions. We discovered that Lando Norris is the youngest champion ever to have won a Grand Prix.

How they achieved their many accolades and how they win championships.The author, Maurice Hamilton who has so far attended more than 500 Grands Prix writes to suit the younger readers. Included are the driver's legendary sratistics such their concentration, skills, control, balance and keeping calm under pressure levels.
Lando Norris who is from Glastonbury in England, has remarkable skills which he has honed since driving karts from a very young age and won many races. Hamilton writes that Lando Norris loved racing as a child and set his sights on becoming a racing driver with support from his sports loving family who recognised his talents. It is interesting to read that his siblings are all remarkable achievers in their chosen fields.
We often suddenly hear or read about a rising star or champion, but of course they are not instant overnight successes. When you read how Lando Norris began motor racing, is pretty exciting and inspirational.

Maurice Hamilton, the award-winning author of more than 30 books about motor sport, has attended over 500 Grands Prix around the world. He has been a commentator on F1 races for BBC Radio 5 Live for 20 years, and has written about F1 for newspapers and magazines worldwide for decades.
Combining her love of comics with a passion for social equality, Cat Sims has pursued her dream career as an artist and illustrator for the past decade. She has worked on a huge range of commercial and personal projects for clients including The New Yorker, Jacobin, Adidas, BBC and many more.
