Ooh! The excitement when a parcel arrives, everyone loves a surprise parcel, especially koala.
Koala and friends are sitting in a tree surrounded by skawking and all sorts of other noises made by the different Australian birds in the tree. Suddenly there is the sound of someone/thing calling out, "parcel for koala". All the other wildlife nearby wonder if the parcel is for them. No, it's for Koala!
Reading easy words and names for the wildlife like owl, bat, possum, cockatoo, children can learn to recognise them as the story unfolds and after many guesses by all and sundry the answer is revealed. The lovely thing about this is the parcel has a present that Koala and friends all enjoy.
Overall a cute little hardback glossy and colourful book for younger children 3+.
