When we reviewed the original book, The Lion, when it was first published and found it be so moving and then we went to see the movie,

We just can't imagine how a little 5 year old boy survived going through this ordeal of not being able to get home or find his older brother. Add to that the subsequent experiences he went through and of course the grief his mother and family must have felt at the time and then the joy when Saroo Brierly and his birth mother and family finally met up again after 25 years.

This latest book, Little Lion, for children aged 6+ is also a moving account, but a greatly abridged version. It is sure to make young readers ask questions and be fascinated in Saroo Brierly's extraordinary story. The illustrations by Bruce Whatley are outstanding and compliment the story perfectly.

A good little book for a Christmas or birthday present as a first autobiography.
