Who we are

We are Elizabeth and Dr Jacqueline, two healthy foodies who love creating healthy recipes for enjoying better health and a happier life

Elizabeth was diagnosed with advanced cancer four years ago. Because she refused the usual treatments she was immediately referred to palliative care. At the time she was advised  to get her affairs in order as it was not expected she would survive the year.

When she told her doctors that she wanted to travel again to see family and friends in the United Kingdom and France, the medics shook their heads from side to side saying it would never happen, it was not possible. Fortunately her oncologist found other medication that works and which she supports with healthy eating, exceptional nutrional supplements and daily exercise.

However, not ready to give up and eager to continue living, keen and passionate creative cook and publisher of this website, Elizabeth decided she would make some changes and draw on her nner strength to survive. Her motto is thriving not surviving. Elizabeth did achieve her goals and travelled to the United Kingdom and France for over two months and had a wonderful holiday. Thanks to her  can do attitude, she has achieved everything that she was told would never be possible.

Elizabeth has been cooking from scratch since she was 20. Her mother is a great cook and after leaving home she realised he had to prepare her own meals so she bought Robert Carrrier's Great Dishes of the World as a starting poin. Yes,  crazy a gourmet cookbook for entertaining to make meals for one. This started her on her culinary journey through which she has gained a reputation for being a great cook by friends and family and called on to do demonstrations and to share recipe. She constantly experiments with different tastes creating new recipes.
